In July 2013 I became a producer at Utah Public Radio, engineering and producing the morning talk program Access Utah. With time I became a vital producer for the station, managing all the sound and content of the daily talk show and special programming. ACHIEVEMENTS:* Implemented creative sourcing and booking strategies for impactful radio content* Organized daily broadcast schedule on deadline* Worked smart and responsibly on daily live broadcast* Contributed to host's research and interviewing* Produced outreach programming for listener involvement* Was awarded 2015 Student of the Year, USU College of Humanities and Social Sciences, for work with Utah Public RadioRESPONSIBILITIES:* Produce daily, live radio talk show Access Utah, producing all live and online content* Research stories, interview sources, writing interview questions, editing audio with adobe audition* Pitching fresh ideas for news gathering and storytelling * Produced StoryCorps interviews after mobile booth visits to Utah-2013 & 2015* Organize daily schedule of news programming* Assist with training and recruiting new interns each semester* Manage airing and editing of features, opinion pieces, pledge drive production and special programming* Engineering soundboard and live broadcast equipment daily* Collaboration with American Public Media and the Salt Lake Tribune on the Public Insight Network, to find citizen sources which provided great stories-2016* Workshopped with Public Radio producers Davia Nelson and Nikki Silva, the Kitchen Sisters, initiating local oral history project-2016*Produced "Utah Works" series in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institute's "The Way We Worked" project-2017
