As a Finance Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for over 15 years, I have contributed to the financial management and oversight of various programs and projects that support the VA's mission and vision. I have extensive experience in budgeting, accounting, auditing, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of the VA's financial operations.In addition to my finance expertise, I have developed a strong interest and competence in cybersecurity, as I recognize the importance of protecting the VA's data and systems from cyber threats and attacks. I have completed a Cybersecurity Certificate from Case Western Reserve University, and obtained multiple certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Jr Penetration Tester, and Official ISC2 CC Online Self-Paced Training. I have also learned and applied skills such as TCP/IP, OSI Model, and penetration testing, to enhance my knowledge and capabilities in the cybersecurity domain. My goal is to leverage my finance and cybersecurity skills and credentials to pursue a Penetration Tester profession that will allow me to further serve and secure the VA and its stakeholders.
