During role managed two projects in parallel:1. Managed a complex project spanning several teams in the organization. Responsibilities included: planning and overseeing the entire life cycle of the project, gathering business requirements, leading the development of a data warehouse system (Oracle 9i RAC, C++, Discoverer, Advanced SQL), coordinating the integration efforts, and managing the deployment process.2. Managed a data mining project which was destined to handle an unprecedented number of records per day (hundreds of millions)

Responsibilities included: leading the maintenance and development of a distributed transaction processing system (Platforms/technologies used: HP/UX, C++, Oracle 9i, MQ Series, Business Objects, Perl, Windows), collaborating with the users’ representatives on future versions, and managing integration projects with different systems in the organization, managing and training team members.Main Accomplishments:Proposed and lead a revolutionary project which consisted of restructuring the system architecture and porting the entire system from an expensive HP-UX environment to a Wintel environment. As a result, system hardware and maintenance costs decreased by more than 90%, while system performance increased by approximately 100%; received a commendation of excellence in achievement from unit commander.

Team Leader of an OLTP systemResponsibilities included maintenance and support of the system's users.Senior developer in a team responsible for a high volume distributed transaction processing system. System's purpose was to apply sophisticated text classification algorithms on millions of transactions a day.Main accomplishments:1. Incorporated a new set of procedures in working with source control software in order to boost team productivity.

Responsibilities included: maintenance and development of a three tier OLTP system serving hundreds of users. Platforms/technologies used: MF (Adabas, Data Processing Tables, Natural), Compaq Tru64 Unix Servers (C++, Informix SQL, Motif-X, Windows Workstations (Visual C++).Main accomplishments:Proposed, designed and developed a new scalable printing system utilizing local PC printers rather than a limited number of dedicated high end printers. Project saved the organization approximately $50,000; received a commendation for excellence in achievement.

Developed a couple of 2D computer games for DOS and Windows using Turbo Pascal, Assembly and Visual C++, DirectX respectively.Developed a few products using Delphi.Became senior developer on company's flagship product. Activities in this role included extending the product and deploying it in several locations, modifying its architecture, and designing and planning its port from Turbo Pascal on DOS to to C++ on Windows.
