Benoit has over 25 years experience in the clinical research industry, and has been conducting studies to develop and validate Patient-Reported Outcomes and other Clinical Outcomes Assessment instruments for two decades, measuring a large variety of concepts including Health-Related Quality of Life, Function, Symptoms, Satisfaction and Adherence. In recent years, Benoit has increasingly been asked by Industry clients to assist in their endpoint strategy definition. His current primary interest is Mixed Methods Research in clinical trials. Benoit has experience in several disease areas, including Ophthalmology, Urology, Oncology, Respiratory, Immunization, Dermatology, Pain, Gastro-enterology, Metabolic disorders, Infectious diseases and more than 10 rare diseases in adult and paediatric populations. Benoit is a Health Economics graduate with a specialty in statistics, and has completed his PhD on tools for clinical decision making. In the recent years, he has been leading the Mapi Global Patient-Centered Outcomes research team, which is now part of ICON PCO. On Sept 1st, 2022, Benoit joined Sanofi's Patient Informed Development and Health Value Translation department as Head of Clinical Outcomes Assessment team.Benoit is author of 2 book chapters, reviewer for more than 10 journals, co-author of more than 50 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
