Benoit A. Aubert is Professor of Information Systems at HEC Montreal. Until June 2020, he was Professor and Director of the Rowe School of Business (Dalhousie University). He worked previously at Victoria University of Wellington where he was the Head of the School of Information Management. Previously, he worked at HEC Montreal and Laval University. Benoit Aubert is a Fellow of the CIRANO. Benoit Aubert holds a B.Sc in Mathematics from the University of Montreal, a Master in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a Ph.D. from HEC Montreal. His main research areas are IT and innovation, outsourcing, risk management, and digital transformation. He published numerous articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, and reports on these topics. His work on risk management has led to software products and licensing agreements between the university and private organisations. He also published papers on trust, ontology, and health care information systems. He is currently Senior Editor for the Journal of Strategic Information Systems.Dr. Aubert has a long record of collaborations with both private and public organizations. He frequently acts as expert consultant on outsourcing decisions, IT strategy and enterprise transformation.
