In the Technical Support Organisation, I was the "import" Product Enginneer, that meant I did the customer support of all glass product in Europe imported from other OC plants (all over the world). It was mainly mat glass from India, but also multi-end roving from Mexico, milled fibers from Japan,In addition of this role, during this time I assured the SAP readiness to include those materials in the normal EU quality process for customers. First experience in the Technical Support Organisation of Owens Corning. I was in charge of direct roving of Hglass support to the internal customer : Technical Fabrics Owens Corning.I was responsible of of the good quality check and the respect of the customer needs for the direct roving manufactured in Chambery dedicated to our Belgium plant of Technical Fabrics.The H glass enhance the reinforced composite wind blades to design them larger than with Eglass.
