Together with my team, I am responsible for the overall product development strategy up to licensure and for its execution according to predefined development plans, ensuring alignment within the team and internal stakeholders.

Responsible for the development strategy of vaccines at Janssen Vaccines, leading a multidisciplinary team, with representatives from clinical, regulatory, immunology/biomarkers, pre-clinical, toxicology, manufacturing, commercial and project management/planning departments.Lead the accelerated development of Janssen Ebola vaccine program, which advanced from proof-of-concept to phase 3 in less than two years.As such, responsible for extensive interactions with the regulators to move the vaccine forward in the absence of the possibility to generate efficacy data and for the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as DMID (NIH), BARDA, JVAP, WRAIR. CEPI and the European Commission.Also in charge of the development of the multivalent vaccine program in collaboration with DMID, moving the program from preclinical proof of concept to first in human study. These accomplishments have led to the attribution of an additional contract with BARDA to advance the Janssen Ebola monovalent vaccine up to licensure.Principal investigator on contract with DMID (multivalent filovirus vaccine program) and BARDA (Ebola monovalent).
