Upon completing my Ph.D. on "The European Structural Funds: Allocation and Economic Effectiveness," I joined the OECD's Center for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions, and Cities. From June 2021 to June 2023, I focused on regional determinants of business dynamics in OECD regions through the "What helps firms grow in regions?" project, co-funded by the European Commission. Additionally, from January to June 2023, I led the "Public R&D Leverage Ratios from Publicly Funded R&D Organisations: The UK in International Comparison" project, assessing regional variations in the UK's public to private R&D leverage ratios. In June 2023, I joined the OECD's Southeast Europe (SEE) division to work on the economic convergence of the Western Balkan six economies (WB6). I contributed to the 2024 Competitiveness Outlook, drafting sections on access to finance and taxation. Simultaneously, I conducted a quantitative assessment for the inaugural Economic Convergence Scoreboard for the Western Balkans 2023, set to be updated in 2024 for the 10 years of the Berlin Process Summit.
