As a member of Autodesk Media and Entertainment Consulting, I helped design, plan, and implement custom engineering projects around Maya, 3ds Max, and Softimage, directly working with major customers to address their needs. My work was across all the applications, but my specialty was 3d modeling. I implemented the Maya 2014 polyreduce. I helped integrate Xgen and Bullet into Maya 2015. I fixed bugs that were blocking studios for the Softimage escalation support team.

Research and mentoring on the mesh refinement problem in various directions, particularly in the dynamic and kinetic case, along with the dual problem of surface reconstruction and topological categorizations. Graduated one Ph.D. student, published 6 peer-reviewed articles.

Member of the Model-Based Autonomy group led at the time by Dan Clancy. Made the Livingstone 2 fault diagnosis software run within flight parameters by speeding it up one thousand-fold and reducing its memory footpint fifty-fold. The experiment flew onboard EO-1 in 2004. Also helped develop an early hybrid (continuous and discrete) constraint language, hcc, including developing a model of a Mars-based propellent factory.
