After years studying and teaching environmental issues and international conventions, I became interested in carbon markets, its good sides and its limits. Yet using renewable energies, biochar, agriculture, forestry and land management, I believe we could go a long way towards sustainable prosperity, and towards fighting global warming. This is why I am an entrepreneur working towards the production and the use of biochar - with hopefully soon the help of carbon credits or other carbon/market mechanisms. I have local support, but we are still looking for investors. This might be the chance of your life! I would define myself as a 'hands on' geotherapist, a biogeochimist trying to apply solutions to a jeopardized biosphere for protoscientific societies (societies that have not yet integrated that NASA is indeed serious about GHG increase potential risks...). In doing so, we will use existing levers - biochar, renewables, micro-finance - to open wider, better defined paths towards sustainable development. I see sustainable prosperity as an ongoing process constantly redefining itself, not as a fully defined political and societal doctrine. All this in great modesty, fully conscious of the enormity of the challenge.
