CRITICAL SKILLS:Experimental- 15 years experience in rheology (Nuclear power plant corium melt, cooling lavas, dynamic magmas).- 4 years experience in high capacity uni-axial press viscometer (300KN press Voggenreiter).- 10 years experience in high pressure - high temperature Paterson type press.- 8 years experience on dynamic high confining pressure apparatus and high pressure autoclaves.- 6 years experience on monitoring and sampling volcanic systems.- 8 years experience in experimental passive acoustic systems.- 6 years experience in 4D micro-tomographic X-rays scans.- Abilities in using, maintaining and tuning various rheological apparatus (Uni-axial press and Couette viscometers, horizontal and vertical dilatometers, Cone and plate rheoscopes, Paterson type press, extensometers)- Abilities in using Differential Scanning Calorimeters, Microprobes chemical analysers SX50 & SX100.- Experience in image processing, automatic point tracking, phase recognition automation.- 6 months experience in severe nuclear accidents experimental platforms and large scale high temperature flows (PLINIUS FP6 036403 and VULCANO, French atomic center, CEA Cadarache).- Good experience in producing high quality synthetic melts of various compositions with or without a crystal phase.Numerical- Good experience in using finite element codes (RHEOLEF, Matlab, COMSOL) and common programming and script languages (C++, FORTRAN, Matlab, html).- Extended knowlege in FEM and FDM mesh methods (visco-elastic multiphase flows under cooling). - Developped meshless SPH codes.- Used to run Lattice Boltzmann Methods algorithms.- Used to working under Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.- Have traveled extensively, either for personal reasons, fieldwork, conferences and attending meetings.- Abilities with industrial/graphic design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, 3DS Max, Dassault Catia)
