As the CEO of Bates Group, Mr. Pappas leads the company's overall growth strategy and day-to-day operations.

As the President of Bates Group, Mr. Pappas uses his strategic planning and finance background to drive the company’s overall growth strategy. Mr. Pappas has primary profit/loss responsibility for Bates Group's four consulting business units - Litigation, Regulatory, Financial Crimes, and Compliance - and is also responsible for directing the firm's inorganic growth activities (mergers & acquisitions, acqui-hires, firm-to-firm partnerships, etc.).

As the Chief Operating Officer of Bates Group, Mr. Pappas uses his strategic planning and finance background to set financial policy and direction while also driving the company’s overall growth strategy. Mr. Pappas manages the day-to-day operations and profit/loss of Bates Group's business, as well as its finance, accounting, and information technology functions.

Mr. Pappas serves as the Chair of the Board of Princeton Property Management, Inc. (PPM). PPM is a commercial multi-family real estate property management company focused on managing assets in the Pacific Northwest. PPM was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1984, and still maintains its headquarters and primary client base in the Portland area today.

Mr. Pappas served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Galt Foundation. Galt Foundation is a non-profit employment enterprise focused on creating a world in which every person is valued for their ability. Galt's services have provided employment to nearly 25,000 individuals since its inception in 1998.

Mr. Pappas serves as a Director on the Board of Directors, and also serves on Galt Foundation's Audit and Finance Committees. As the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of D.A. Davidson Companies’ Equity Capital Markets (ECM) business, Mr. Pappas was responsible for the implementation of strategic growth initiatives related to ECM’s Investment Banking and Institutional Equities businesses as part of the Executive Management Committee. In this capacity, he participated in the development of the firm’s overall business strategy, annual financial budgeting and forecasting process, and was a critical decision maker for all material activities in the day-to-day operation of the firm. Additionally, Mr. Pappas conducted the firm’s competitive analysis and benchmarking, executed the firm’s client feedback process, and was responsible for the integration of the firm’s acquisitions and team lift-outs related to its strategic plan.

As the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of D.A. Davidson Companies’ Equity Capital Markets (ECM) business, Mr. Pappas was responsible for the implementation of strategic growth initiatives related to ECM’s Investment Banking and Institutional Equities businesses as part of the Executive Management Committee. As an Institutional Equity Research Associate, Mr. Pappas developed strategic equity investment recommendations for mutual fund and hedge fund clientele based on the collection and synthesis of relevant market and technical data; built and maintained detailed financial models of companies in and adjacent to areas of research focus, including forward-looking profit/loss, cash flow, and balance sheet estimates; and performed a vast array of ad-hoc analyses at the request of the firm’s institutional investors, including advanced equity valuation, top-down and bottom-up market projections, and merger/acquisition impact analysis.

As a Strategic Planning Analyst, Mr. Pappas collected and analyzed semiconductor market trend information, as well as competitive financial and technical data for presentation to executive management and Wall Street; worked collaboratively with engineering, marketing, and executive management to evaluate the ROI of the company’s product portfolio; analyzed the viability of new entrants into the market space, proposed business partnerships, and potential mergers and acquisitions; participated in the new product planning process, including traveling to visit customer R&D facilities to evaluate next-generation technical needs and pricing sensitivity.

Worked as a producing Financial Advisor and analyst focusing on retirement planning, estate planning, and non-profit foundation management. Attained Series 7 & 66 licenses and Certified Financial Manager (CFM) designation.
