Responsible for defining, documenting and governing IT strategy in the following areas: The Post Office network of branches, The Post Office supply chain (cash and stock distribution), Post Office concept stores, Post Office retail home phone & broadband and Post Office mobile (a consumer mobile phone service). I also support strategy in relation to CRM systems and general Post Office integration services. I was responsible for leading the technology work streams in large scale government and commercial procurements. I was the main SME for the areas I covered. I acted as a consultant to other areas of the business and to commercial partners in those areas. I was the lead design authority in multiple programs and chaired many technical design authority committees. As chair of the group wide Post Office Design Authority I was responsible for ensuring adherence to the wider business and IT strategy as well as alterations to the IT strategy where business change required it. Major achievements in this role:The launch of Post Office mobile - a £24M project expected to generate £120m in annual revenue. The identification and launch of the Post Office win in retail - a programme designed to add up to 12,000 additional branches to the Post Office network offering a subset of Post Office transactions using alternative technology.
