At Venable, I maintain a broad litigation practice, advising clients on complex cross-border disputes, business torts, contract disputes, and real estate and bankruptcy matters.I manage all aspects of pleadings, discovery, and trial, including by drafting dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and counselling clients directly. I also manage and mentor teams of junior to mid-level associates.I often counsel foreign clients in U.S. litigation, as well as U.S. clients who are litigating abroad. At Fried Frank, I developed a practice focused primarily on real estate, bankruptcy, contract, and securities and shareholder disputes. I often reported directly to senior litigation partners, and managed cases with minimal partner supervision. I led the representation of several clients in real estate-related disputes that signaled the burgeoning commercial real estate crisis in New York City. I represented clients in commercial landlord-tenant disputes, secured finance disputes (including mortgage and UCC foreclosures), joint venture and intercreditor disputes, and guaranty enforcement disputes. I also represented major debtors and creditors in bankruptcies involving significant real estate assets, including cases connected to parallel proceedings in the United States and overseas.

I worked primarily as an associate in the commercial litigation practice group at this top-tier Australian firm (800+ attorneys), reporting directly to a senior litigation partner. I was responsible for drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery and document review processes, and organizing all aspects of case management from pre-trial to post-trial. I was the lead associate on a number of high-profile cases, including the representation of the former CEO and CFO of a collapsed public electronics retailer in a series of multimillion-dollar lawsuits relating to the company’s failure. Before specializing in litigation, I worked as a junior associate in the transactional real estate and corporate/M&A practice groups.

In this role, I implemented project management and forensic solutions for large-scale litigation, including early case assessment, document review, evidence preparation, and electronic courtroom support.

In the Competition and Insolvency practice groups, I drafted research memoranda, prepared client advice, interviewed pro bono clients, and reviewed documents in response to subpoenas and orders for production.

I was responsible for staffing the Centre's reception and working on the Centre's casework files. I took instructions from the Centre's clients on issues of tenancy, employment, bankruptcy, and administrative law.
