I also have a keen interest in Production and Branding programming one of the highest in TSL on XM Radio with "Fine Tuning". Through my position at XM I became involved in various aspects of the industry such as music programming, live national broadcasts, brand management and promotion, original content programming, interviewing, series production,and station management.I am a highly experienced radio Program Director and former radio station owner. As Program Director of Fine Tuning (The world's most interesting music at XM, he served over 20 million listeners and created and managed the first 5.1 Surround audio satellite channel. Having additionally served in a number of management positions throughout his career, most recently as Owner of Smithsounds production/voice overs, Ben draws on his unique combination of music industry marketing and ownership experience, combining music appreciation with a GM ownership style.Ben continues to host and market streaming, new-music discovery and creative audio ideas that relate to the mass audiences. He did apply to construct a new radio station in Binghamton, New York where he served as Sole proprietor/General Manager/Morning host at WKGB-FM. The station was founded on the idea that "Binghamton needed a classic rock station so we built one from scratch".
