I am passionate about creating places that have a genuine and lasting positive impact on people's lives, and the environment around them. Sustainable and regenerative design thinking needs to be embedded into everything we do, and I am a particularly interested in advocating for higher performance, healthy buildings.Originally from the UK, I am now a registered architect in Western Australia and a Senior Associate based in Hassell’s Perth studio. With over 20 years' professional experience in the design and delivery of large and complex building projects, I have led teams in a broad range of award-winning developments across a number of different sectors including commercial, education, cultural, sports, multi-residential, aged-care and healthcare. Key projects:- Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Perth - Project Definition Plan- Murdoch Square, Perth - a 5 building mixed-use health precinct developed by Hesperia and Aegis Health, under construction with Multiplex- Pier Street, Perth - social & affordable build-to-rent apartments- New Museum of Western Australia Boola Bardip - a joint venture project between HASSELL+OMA. - The Queenslea, an innovative multi-generational development combining assisted living, residential aged care and childcare facilities.- Pinnacle, multi-residential apartment and office development in South Perth- New Perth Stadium, core member of the concept design/bid team. Prior to relocating to Western Australia in 2011 I was based in the UK, leading and contributing to a range of projects including elite sports training facilities, secondary and tertiary education buildings, student accommodation and healthcare projects.
