I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic professional with a passion for supporting children with additional learning needs. I enjoy working in a challenging environment that inspires me to strive for success. I am keen to learn and develop professionally within my chosen field of work.Enough of that. Hi, I’m Ben Rowe and In 2012, I left home in Cornwall and moved to South Wales. A massive leap into the big wide world. However, that's how I have always lived my life. Out of my comfort zone and trying to be the best I can be. At that time, I didn’t really know what career I wanted or needed. I stumbled through various jobs, from washing pots and pans to labour work on sites across the region. I was soon given the opportunity to work in a school. A residential school. Experiences in the Primary phase initially, followed by the Secondary and finally into the Residential setting. I think it is fair to say, I haven't looked back. Working alongside some of the most inspirational young individuals I have ever met, gave me a great new outlook on life. In September 2014, I was successful in obtaining a permanent contract in this role as a Residential Child Care Officer. My role involves supporting learners with a wide range of ALN and predominantly SEBD difficulties. Through physical and emotional therapy, I feel the pupils in my care are given the chance to progress. I quickly learnt that a child’s progression is all down to positive relationships with an individual. Most of the time, I attempt to build those relationships through motivating activities and I am at my best in the outdoors, doing physical activities.In 2021, I felt that my time in residential settings were coming to a close. I wanted a new challenge in my life, so this is where I thought, why don't I get my two good friends who I've known for years and worked with them in childcare and lets create a company. The dream, is a company that offers children and adults, in settings that are hard to reach, by going to them and collecting them and taking them out for the day, giving them the opportunity to enjoy, being outside in nature. They would be doing water sports mainly and at the same time, they build core, positive relationships with there carers or parents, as well as increase there overall mental health. So that's my vision and my partners and I hope you see this too. There's so many positives, for everyone that would come out of this company.
