Children International is a ~$145M nonprofit humanitarian organization supporting and preparing over 300,000 children and youth to overcome the effects of poverty, support their health and education, and prepare youth to contribute to society. Headquartered in Kansas City, MO with agencies in 10 countries and over 70 locations.Responsible for eCommerce systems strategy and tactical planning effort that captured and addressed the stakeholder’s goals across eight business units within the organization and the delivery of an online, mobile enabled marketing and transactional system with social networking integration.Key Results• This $1M strategic priority integrated the capabilities of web applications, email marketing, social networking, and mobile capabilities into a comprehensive online marketing and sales solution.• Delivered multiple concurrent and coordinated projects for an integrated marketing and sales solution needed to sustain and increase revenues, and support the organization’s mission into the future.• A 6-member development team used Agile management techniques to deliver applications and supporting system integrations.• Implemented Microsoft SharePoint to improved organizational collaboration, implementation efficiency, and reporting specific to the eCommerce systems implementation.• The implementation of SharePoint was completed using Agile management techniques with less than 5% variance from the originally projected timeline and budget of six (6) month and $650K.
