About Ben Sirota
Graduated from The University of North Texas with a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering in May 2018. My research was focused on new ultra-thin '2D' materials and their use as field effect transistors. My Dissertation title was "Investigation into the Semiconducting and Device Properties of MoTe2 and MoS2 Ultra-thin 2D Materials". I led the design and fabrication of Field effect transistors using 2D materials in a class 1000 clean room. My work has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals.Graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a master's in Physics in Dec 2011. My work involved the synthesis and characterization of novel metal oxide nanowires my magnetron sputtering. During my undergraduate semesters I also worked on thin films for high temperature tribological applications.
