• Provide procurement subject matter expertise for all purchasing activities, catalog/non-catalog requests, and complex bid analyses and award decisions.• Develop a strong partnership with internal stakeholders and a working understanding of supported lines of business and assigned commodities, including comprehensive knowledge of the supply base and project-specific service level agreements.• Facilitate and oversee transactional sourcing for a specified area of coverage, ensuring scope of work is clearly articulated, vendors are appropriately assigned, and project timelines are supported.• Facilitate and oversee full procurement lifecycle, including supplier relationship management processes, onboarding and supplier master data maintenance, end-to-end purchase order management, and maintenance of vendor contract catalogs.• Manage the total cost of the supplier relationship, including key supplier metric tracking and participation in Supplier Review Meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews.• Lead open order management process for assigned line of business or commodity, including providing timely, actionable information to relevant stakeholders, visibility to issues and facilitate root cause resolution.• Perform effective data analyses to identify opportunities to increase value, reduce costs and risks, improve processes, and formulate recommendations.• Drive the resolution of key underperforming suppliers as established through supplier quality metrics, scorecards, and audit reports.• Maintain knowledge of market trends, including market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements, innovation, and competitive landscape.• Provide training and guidance to Buyers on Supply Chain processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management.• Foster and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers.• Ensure organizational goals, individual goals, and key process metrics are met.

-Requisitioning, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and dispatching inventory to various destinations -Reconciling delivery notes with requisitions and ensuring that serial numbers on delivery notes match those on the physical items to prevent fraud -Maintaining optimum stock levels with periodic review of inventory re-order levels -Maintaining proper records of stock items sold on credit for follow up on payment by the Inventory manager -Organizing, labeling and maintaining store cleanliness whilst ensuring a secure store at all times -Isolating & managing obsolete/damaged stock and initiating reverse logistics to the warehouse -Conducting monthly stock takes, submitting status reports and accounting for any variances -Filing stock take reports in an easily retrievable format & advising management on slow moving items -Reporting any suspicious activity or loopholes that might embezzle the company’s stocks and or revenue -Management and Coaching of ten stock controllers in the warehouse-Representing the Inventory team in inventory training workshops & seminars -Cooperating with auditors and taking them through the stock management process during audits -Ensuring continuous interface of both front and back-end inventory management systems -Advising internal and external users on the available stock items and alternatives. -Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely warranty processing and following up on delayed deliveries -Preparation of pick lists, honoring LPOs and preparing quotations and invoices

-Training of dealers,merchants and customers on their daily M-pesa transactions.-Training of dealers and merchants on using M-pesa web in order to increase proficiency on usage and new applications.-Offering system support to corporate clients e.g banks,companies,dealers and merchants on M-pesa issue.-offering international money transfer support to corporate and individual clients.-Liaising with other departments to explain and escalate issues related to M-pesa system and customer issues.-Creating awareness to corporate and individual clients on money transfer as offered by Safaricom Limited for example B2C,C2B and B2B accounts.-Following up issues on M-pesa via calls and emails to assist agents,dealers ,merchants etc on M-pesa related issues.-Participating in M-pesa promotions to create awareness to customers.-Cross selling of Retail products and services .This included data services,M-pesa products ,Phones,modems etc.

Internship at Kenya Pipeline Limited.-Determining quality of fuels e.g .Motor Spirit Premium,Motor Spirit regular,Automobile Gas Oil(AGO),Illuminating Kerosine(IK) and Jet fuels(JET A1) under the stipulated laboratory regulations.-Advising the oil companies like Shell,Total,Mobil on the densities of the fuels before dispatch by tankers to various countries like Uganda,Rwanda,Burundi and Congo.-Maintaining a safety environment in the laboratory to avoid accidents.-Petroleum products sampling and sampling techniques as stipulated by IP/ASTM requirements.-Aviation fuel handling procedures as required by the Aviation governing body.-Results documentations and communication.-Petroleum products release procedures as applied to Kenya Pipeline Corporation Limited.-Safety and fire prevention policy adopted by petroleum handling facilities and laboratories-Training for new interns on quality procedures of fuels.
