Jackie Benson, Ph.D. is the Chief Scientific Officer of Sorriso Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company advancing a pipeline of locally delivered disease-modifying antibodies for the treatment of inflammatory disease. Jackie joined Sorriso from Johnson & Johnson Innovation where she was Vice President of Immunology Scientific Innovation. In her prior roles at J&J, Jackie launched and led a Janssen Incubator internal venture to develop novel therapeutics for systemic lupus erythematosus. She also led mechanism of action characterization of STELARA® for which she and others received the Johnson Medal in 2010. In addition, Jackie led the invention of TREMFYA® for which she and others received the Johnson Medal in 2020. Jackie received her B.S. in Biology from The Ohio State University, and her Ph.D. in Immunology from the College of Medicine at The Ohio State University. She also was awarded a National Multiple Sclerosis Society postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine.
