A fully qualified educator and resource serving the teachers, administrators, parents and students of the El Monte education community. Collaborate with colleagues in design and delivery of professional development workshops in all aspects of instruction including, but not limited to, Common Core implementation, technology integration and English language learners. Mentoring, coaching and modeling instruction for educators while serving outside the classroom setting for assignments as determined by the needs of the district and as specified by the Superintendent. Attend school, district and county meetings related to assignments and deliver presentations to district leadership teams, councils or committees. Work closely with the I.T. Department to meet district instructional technology goals.

Provide students with equal access to education and treat them as equal in worth. Engage students and support them in learning. Design, develop and implement authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating technological tools in order to maximize content learning. Develop their knowledge, skills, attitudes and mastery of the state educational standards. Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to respond to students’ diverse needs. Subjects taught include, Social Studies, Computer Concepts and Applications, English Language Development, Science, AVID, and English Language Arts. Emergency Migrant Education Teacher Provide supplemental educational services to migratory children. Improve educational continuity for students who have had their schooling interrupted. Assisting students in meeting the same high standards expected of all children by implementing lessons that sustain and accelerate their progress in school.

Support adult students and English language learners in achieving credit towards their high school diploma. Facilitate preparation courses for success on the California High School Exit Exam. Provide instruction for Speech, English literature and writing strategies. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies and abilities using digital tools and resources. Supervise students in the study lab and provide assistance in various subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Economics and Government.
