The QUTLS is one of the largest student organisations at QUT with 40+ student volunteers and over 1500 members. As President, I was primarily responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the QUTLS which saw me: represent the interests of our members; develop internal management procedures; source sponsorship and funding; empower our committee to achieve their goals; seek and listen to feedback from our members and the wider law-student population; provide insight and student viewpoints to the faculty and university; and chair our meetings.

It was my role to coordinate and oversee the entirety of the Competitions Portfolio, which saw me: deliver a platform for students to engage in law-orientated competitions so to expand their professional and personal growth; provide direction and guidance to the Competitions Officers; organise competitions in consultation with sponsors; and arrange problem writing, judging and all other competition related logistics (such as advertising).

I used my skills as a video professional to create and oversee the QUT Law Society's video portfolio. The role included: assisting firms with concept develop, acting as Director on set and editing in post production.

I've supported a wide variety of clients, focussing on empowerment and increasing quality of life. A large part of my work has been fostering positive relationships with adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In my final 18 months I comprehensively and exclusively worked with one family.

As the Production Supervisor, I was responsible for the logistics, time management and general organisation of on-set activities to ensure we produced quality, timely and in-budget content.

My role focused on securing financial and institutional support for our organisation as well as identifying and engaging beneficial partnerships that advanced and developed our mission. I managed all aspects of the venue including: overseeing bar and bistro operations; directing staff and delegating tasks; money handling; opening and closing the venue; business building; and connecting and maintaining relationships with third parties and customers.

This role saw me write original shorts, edit exisiting scripts and act as a script supervisor on productions. I also gained valuable on-set experience in a variety of roles including: Director of Photography, Assistant Director, Grip, Gaffer, Boom Operator, Wrangler and Runner.
