As the Senior Accountant at PCF Insurance Services - Bellingham I work with Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, month end closure, Financial record keeping, and Financial Analysis. Through PCF I have experience in AMS360, Vertafore Benefit Point, Paylocity, and Quickbooks Desktop software. In my time with PCF my tasks have include maintaining Employee records for payroll, tracking earnings and deductions, running the payroll process, reconciling employee hours, and doing payroll journal entries for the 125+ employee company. In the past I ran the AR part of the business. As an employee at an Insurance Broker we deal with a lot of Trust money, both collecting and distributing of the funds. I do a large majority of the invoicing of clients, and run Accounts Receivable for the two most complex business sectors of the company. I also am in charge of paying many of the companies we bring business to, in a timely and accurate manner. As Senior Accountant my job has expanded to Revenue and Expense tracking and analysis, as well as doing months end closing, and making decisions for how the company will move forward strategically as well as Operationally from an Accounting perspective.

As the Bookkeeper for the bar and restaurant Redlight, I was in charge of payroll, payroll tax payments, and monthly reports for the owner. I have redid the payroll methods and monitored and maintained all employee records. I ensured payroll was always performed timely and correctly. I also was in charge of making all payroll related tax payments monthly, quarterly, and yearly. Every month I produced Financial statements for use by the owner, and by the CPA the business used. At Redlight I used Excel and Quickbooks Desktop to maintain records.

As a Derivatives Analyst I work in Middle Office to ensure trading activity is moved correctly. It is a very detail oriented position, in which I handle large amounts of data on a daily basis. We are currently working to make our processes function more efficiently, this includes cultivating and implementing new ideas, and improving old processes. Through this experience I have gained valuable knowledge in professional communication within our company, and with our clients.

As a manager I was in charge of inventory and ordering for the front of the house. During my shifts I handled employee and customer complaints and requests. I also assisted in hiring staffing and other staffing decisions. Durning my time as a manager I also opened and closed the business, which included handling daily financial reports and cash. As a bartender I maintained a high level of service for my customers, making sure they enjoyed their experience. To do this I was proficient in being organized and multitasking while being friendly and accommodating.

As a server and bartender I maintained a high level of service to customers in my section. This included walking them through the menu, giving advice for dietary issues, and suggesting wine and food specials. As a server I handled cash from customers, and in drops for the restaurant.

I coached 7th and 8th grade Football, 7th and 8th grade Boys Basketball, and 6th-8th grade Track . I did one year as an Assistant Coach and one year as Head Coach in Football. In Basketball I was the Head Coach of the "B" teams both years for the 7th and 8th grade, as well as an Assistant Coach for the "A" teams. I also was an Assistant Coach for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls track team in the spring of 2010.
