Bftv Administrative Cluster

Manage computer operations including network infrastructure and campus connectivity, computer labs, servers and client workstations for BFTV Cluster and four Departments: Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Textiles & Clothing, Viticulture & Enology, and Food Science & Technology. Participate in strategic planning and implementation of technological solutions.Support a wide range of application software including business and administrative applications such as PPS, DaFIS, Banner, and Kuali. Recommend technical solutions for individual faculty and staff. Purchase, setup, and maintain computers and peripheral devices for the entire department.Develop and manage administrative databases, analyze, streamline and automate processes, develop web input screens and reports, and assist the network system administrator in network management and system support.

Bftv Administrative Cluster

Provide programming expertise in support of the cluster business operations and department system maintenance. Provide first tier help desk support to the Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Textiles and Clothing, and Viticulture and Enology (BFTV) cluster staff and department faculty and students. Responsible for web content management for cluster web sites using Campus Content Management System (CMS), PLONE and other CMS systems. Provide technical support for Windows and Macintosh OS computer systems including applications software and operating systems. Perform help desk operations and routine computer and peripheral maintenance issues as needed. Assist BFTV cluster IT staff, faculty and students with day-to-day operations including computer purchase configurations, system updates, system deployment, license tracking and active directory user management.
