As a member of the Senior Management Team, I was responsible for defining and aligning the product development plan with the business strategy and leading the R&D team to help give Radleys' customers the innovative products they want.

As Product Manager for all large-scale continuous flow processing equipment and systems, I coordinated the R&D, commercial, operational, technical sales, applications, and support efforts for the Syrris-branded Titan product line.

My work involved the design of batch and continuous flow chemical processes and technology. I managed a variety of projects for Blacktrace Ltd as well as for a wide range of customers and collaborative partners including small tech firms, academic institutions, government research facilities, and large multinational pharmaceutical corporations. As design engineer for the Technology Development Group, I focused on turning new and exciting scientific ideas and discoveries into engineering concepts and working prototypes. My role as Project Manager extended beyond the Technology Development Group, allowing me to lead teams of engineers and scientists to solve technical problems and generate creative solutions for niche and mainstream products and technology.

My work involved two postdoc positions - one on modelling fouling in dairy heat exchangers and one on the design of detailed process and economic models for carbon-negative technologies. My other duties included teaching and supervision of undergraduate, masters, and PhD students; writing proposals and scientific papers; and laboratory design and management.

I developed a techno-economic model for a biorefinery utilizing carbon-negative technologies to produce biofuels and commodity chemicals from algae. The modelling was optimized using sophisticated technical data based upon my experimental experience with carbon-negative technologies and strong industrial contacts with related technology companies.

My research within the Material Science Group included nanostructure development through novel anodization techniques on zirconium and titanium, electrodeposition enhancement of cobalt and cobalt-vanadium alloy films on copper and iron substrates, and cobalt nanowire development. Among the most significant outcomes of this work was my invention of a new apparatus to optimize electrodeposition techniques, which led to further discoveries and developments within the group.
