Once every two weeks, I write a short story for the website www.humansontheroad.com. Together with my colleague Chelsea Aufderheijde, I am the owner of this website. We approach travellers, interview them and write a short piece in English about their experiences, travel philosophy and/or life story.

Twice every year, I write articles and/or interviews for the magazine Timbres of Orgelpark. I interviewed composer Luiz Henrique Yudo and pianist Matteo Mijderwijk and wrote articles about Mozart's Requiem and Zoltán Gárdonyi (a Hungarian musician). Aside from writing articles, I was responsible for the final edit of the entire magazine. I checked the articles for grammar and spelling, but also gave advice on the structure and layout.

As an intern at de Volkskrant, I wrote articles for V, the cultural section, and for Volkskrant Magazine. I was responsible for four regular features every week. Furthermore, I pitched ideas for my own articles and interviews. The result: a couple of reviews about open air films, a big piece about older models in the magazine, a background article about the rise of Turkish psychedelic music, and more.

For 3voor12/North Holland, I was responsible for the feature DNA. What this meant? I interviewed Dutch artists about their sources of inspiration, favorite records and background. Furthermore, I wrote reviews about concerts and/or albums and interviewed creatives in the music industry about new developments. Next to this, I worked as a final editor. I drafted colleagues' texts, published them online and gave them constructive criticism.

From May 2013 onwards, I worked as a waitress and in the kitchen of the popular lunch room Singel 404. From March 2016 to April 2018, I was also part-time floor manager, which meant that I was in charge of the place, opened and closed it and delegate tasks. Between August 2008 and April 2018 I enjoyed working in various restaurants and lunch cafés in my hometown Den Bosch and Amsterdam. I worked as a waitress at Zoetelief and Restaurant KEK for instance.

Leiden

Nieuwscheckers is a fact check initiative of Leiden University, in collaboration with EenVandaag, Nu.nl and Facebook. In the timespan of half a year I was working for this platform. What I did? I checked news and political statements regarding the general elections in The Netherlands in March 2017. Aside from this, I called spokespeople, visualized data through the program LocalFocus and wrote articles.

For two years, I wrote a weekly article about the newest developments in the world of music for the website Nadelunch.com. I came up with creative angles, reviewed new albums or wrote about concerts in The Netherlands.

For four years, I wrote a post for my personal blog, almost twice a week. My blog was mainly meant as a deposit ground for inspiration, but also to inform readers about concerts I'd visited, movies I'd seen and cities I'd photographed. Because of a busy study and side job I am a lot less active since 2014. Every now and then, I still publish a poem, since I love to write poetry in my free time.

While I was in the last year of high school, I was also the editor-in-chief of the school paper. I delegated tasks, took care of the monthly planning and wrote, aside from my own articles, the preface of each edition. The three years before this, I was working as a regular editor.
