Aged 7 I lived in the stunning loch-side community of Lochcarron on the west coast of Scotland. From there I had easy access to many thousands of stones, the most attractive of which I collected and transformed, with the help of chalk, into hedgehogs. I then recruited my younger sister to ride her tricycle back and forth from the local shop with the simple repeated message of "hedgehogs for sale" so we could draw in some trade. It was a success and some things never change! I still have that entrepreneurial spirit and I'm still attracted to marketing the best products, although I hope my messages are now a little more sophisticated. Based in Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park, I now work with the multi-award winning, 5 Star Adventure Tour Operator, Wilderness Scotland, where I lead a small marketing team tasked with encouraging potential clients to travel with us and enjoy the experience of an adventure holiday in Scotland.I am also privileged to sit on the board of the Cairngorms Business Partnership and help drive the economic development of Britain's largest national park.I use technology to create competitive advantage and continue to challenge current thinking as a way to break down barriers to business.Specialties: Digital and e-commerce development.Conversion optimisation.Partnership marketing.
