I shattered a 25-year myth that administrative rent data couldn’t be used for inflation measurement. With a new conceptual model, I systematically demonstrated how the coverage, concepts and timing between survey and admin data could be explained. By developing a novel, world-leading, economic model the admin data will now be used to mimic the statistical concepts previously provided by a costly survey. I started my career at the Office for National Statistics in August 2002. I had various roles in National Accounts and Methodology Directorate.
