I’m an experienced Statistical Analyst and Advisor. My career in statistics has seen me work at the national statistical offices of the UK and New Zealand, and at the New Zealand Ministries of Business, Innovation and Employment, and Housing and Urban Development. I hold an MSc in Official Statistics from the University of Southampton. My current role is in the data development team at New Zealand's central bank, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.Substantive research has focused on better measuring and understanding changes in the cost of living. I’ve presented papers at the United Nations international working group on price statistics, the joint ILO/UNECE meeting of the group of experts on CPIs, the UK’s Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence workshop on Household cost indices, and I’m a former member of the UN’s global working group task team on big data.
