Department Accomplishments Include:-Installed and commissioned multiple large scale DC Plant deployments up to 10,000A.-Responsible for the build of a 6000 square foot head-end complete with racks, primary, secondary, and communications tray infrastructure. -Installation and commissioning of multiple 60 and 120KVA Inverter Systems.-Retrofit of an 8000 square foot head-end facility, replacing legacy cooling with three new high efficiency 20 ton HVAC units.-Completed a design/build solution to re-structure an existing facility and transfer overloaded communications and DC trays from roof to post and beam.

Equipment Engineering, Access Layer Network Specialist:Accountable for the preparation of technical implementation documentation for the implementation new equipment, space and power allocation, and network connectivity on the Rogers Access Network.Managed contracted resources for the implementation of Access Layer Projects including new node implementation, segmentation on all access layer platforms, and DWDM deployment.

 Responsible for the design and implementation of Core Network and Access layer Equipment installations for cable headends in the Toronto area. Responsible for day to day planning and implementation of CATV platform additions including Docsis 3.0, Home Phone, Video on Demand, Switched Digital Video and Digital Television platforms. Analysed usage reports and completed segmentation of all platforms to prevent network congestion. Worked with outside plant engineering for new area subdivision fiber node activations. Wrote detailed Methods of Procedures (MOP’s) to carry out changes to the network. Managed financial aspects of all projects including CA creation, ordering materials, contractor purchase orders, and reviewing contractor invoicing. Provided detailed plans and MOP’s for transport and IP projects. Was the prime employee responsible for the design and implementation of a new 300 Rack Headend/Data Centre from Rack ready to customer migrations to site. Use Spatial AutoCAD software to update Headend Rack Elevations and cable/fiber run lists. Responsible for the setup and planning of direct feed and DWDM fiber nodes.

 Responsible for outside plant planning and design, including CATV and fiber design of new area subdivisions. Reviewed aerial and buried permit drawings for fiber and coaxial cable placements, worked with municipalities and utilities for permit approvals. Completed designs for new MDU builds including fiber to the suite and fiber to the curb applications.  Produced designs to rewire MDU’s. Planned fiber builds and prepared splicing details. Created budgets for projects and produced detailed Bill of Material. Prepared municipal, Hydro and Bell permit applications.
