Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with an Associate’s Degree from an accredited medical assisting program at Ohio Valley College of Technology and seeking a career where my knowledge and skills can benefit a healthcare facility. My experience as a Medical Assistant was obtained during my 135 hour externship at River Valley Physician, located in East Liverpool, OH. Where I had the opportunity to work in multiple offices and practices: Family Practice, Ears, Nose, and Throat, and OB-GYN. The office manager from the main office was very impressed with my clinical skills and ability to communicate with patients. My past work experience has been in manufacturing as an operator on an assembly line. As an operator, I had to think on my feet and solve problems in advance to meet quotas. For five years I was a Support Manager at Walmart and was responsible for GM, grocery, front-end, cash office, customer service, jewelry, and CSM departments. As the manager, I handled payments, sales, and scheduling employees to departments and shifts I was also involved in the hiring and firing process. The choice to start my career in healthcare was decided when I had worked as a certified CNA about fifteen years ago. I worked for twelve years in the field and enjoyed working with my residents and spending time with them. I also took care of my father, in 1994 with a terminal illness. The profession is something that I always was interested in and enjoyed doing.My work philosophy is to have a positive attitude know matter what is going on in my personal life, to work with my associates and help out when they need me. Also, to communicate with the doctor with anything he or she may need. To show up for work every day and enjoy taking care of my patients and their needs, having confidence in myself to perform all my duties as a professional Medical Assistant.
