Vulnerability Services is responsible for the scanning, assessment and identification of vulnerabilities within Telstra, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of infrastructure, applications (web/mobile) and CPE devices. The Telstra Graduate Program offers 3 rotations to graduates, enabling skills to be developed across a range of areas within the business.My third rotation is within the Vulnerability Services team within Telstra Security Operations. Vulnerability Services is responsible for the scanning, assessment and identification of vulnerabilities within Telstra, including penetration testing, mobile application testing, and host scans. In addition to this, Vulnerability Services provides a range of advice and assistance throughout the business including reporting and alerting of vulnerabilities.My primary responsibilities throughout this rotation include the end to end workflow management of Vulnerability Services, including scoping, scheduling and vendor engagement; performing web and host vulnerability assessments using a range of manual automated assessment methods, advice and reporting of security posture to projects, and vulnerability alerting and management within Telstra.My second rotation was within the Wireless Packet Core team within Telstra Wireless Data Engineering. The Wireless Packet Core team is responsible for the end to end engineering processes of Telstra's packet network, including platforms such as SAPC, SGSN-MME, GGSN-EPG, DSC, DNS and MPM. Throughout my rotation in this team, I have worked with the Platform Managers of the DSC and SAPC platforms and worked within a number of projects including the development of an automated regression testing suite for these platforms, enabling Telstra to reduce OPEX related to testing.My first rotation was with the Mobility Access Networks team within Telstra Service Operations. Mobility Access Networks is responsible for various mobility platforms, including both RAN and Packet Core elements. Key responsibilities included the development of a range of automation initiatives, upgrading RAN software, problem management, vendor liaison and overall platform maintenance/management.

As an Extended Trade Manager, and a member of the store leadership team, I was responsible for the operation and effective leadership of the entire store throughout the extended trade period including late night and weekend trade.This included the management of a team of up to 30 staff at any time, and the control and operation of the entire store, with the aim of improving sales and service within the business. In addition to this, as a leader within the store I was responsible for team training and people management.

As part of the Telstra Summer Vacation Program, I worked in Network Services and Facilities (NS&F) as part of Telstra Operations, based at the Telstra Global Operations Centre in Melbourne.I was the Telstra lead for the new Modini project - a web based software package that aims to simplify the work of all levels of Mobile Assurance staff - from Front of House through to Engineering.I worked with the developer and other Telstra Business Units - including Wireless Voice Core Engineering, to manage the rollout and development of the software. I was also responsible for the creation of technical manuals and help documentation, as well as testing from a Telstra perspective.

Undertake training on MADe Software Package, an engineering tool used for reliability analysis of systems.Review of current electronic components incorporated into the software package, and recommendation of changes to be implemented.Study and understanding of electronic component failure methods, as well as research into the implementation of these methods.
