I graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2020 with a Bachelor of Construction Engineering achieving First Class Honours. With my family owning a successful shopfitting company, I’ve been involved in construction in some form for as long as I can remember. After university, I got my start working for a steel subcontractor/fabricator, taking on hands-on roles like Rigging, Site Foreman, and Site Manager. That 1.5-year experience, combined with my degree, gave me a solid grounding in construction from both practical and technical sides.Recently, I hit an exciting milestone—I was promoted to Project Manager at Rubix. After two years as an Assistant Project Manager, I now work closely with other Project Managers, Main Contractors, and Clients to make sure projects across New Zealand run smoothly and hit our standards for quality, timeliness & budget. My next goal is to take the lead on a $5M–$15M project at Rubix and build a reputation as the person who can always be counted on to get things done and earn trust across the board. I also want to keep building strong connections with people from all walks of life—there’s a lot of value in good relationships in this industry.Outside of work, I’m a big sports fan, especially basketball & golf. I’ve been part of some great representative teams over the years, which taught me a lot about leadership, respect, teamwork, commitment, and communication. I believe that those values are just as important in construction as they are in the sporting world.
