CurrentController for Industrial Fluid Consultants Inc., a leading pumping equipment supplier in Canada since 1994• Direct all aspects of the accounting operations such as reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, budgeting, variance analysis, inventory management, and foreign currency contracts• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management • Monitor financial performance against budgets and explore, analyze, and report variances for discussion and decision-making• Maintain effective and efficient accounting systems, processes, and practices based on recognized accounting principles• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy• Recommend and implement changes as appropriate to improve internal controls and efficiencies• Coordinate the year-end close process including the preparation and review of working papers, schedules, analyses, and other required documentation• Manage financial banking and external professional relationships• Act as a resource to staff and provide assistance with respect to financial issues and the interpretation of financial reports• Provide day-to-day leadership and lead the development of a positive and constructive work environment• Assess financial performance of the company regarding long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts• Provide management with historical, current and future projected information and analysis about organizational performance
