A place to share ideas, be challenged and learn from others.My personal interest lie in dialectical and systems thinking as well as exploring and writing about the power of feedback control principles for individuals and organisations.I believe no real experiential learning is possible without some form of feedback.That continuous improvement is fundamentally based on feedback mechanisms ... whether they are acknowledged or not. That continuous improvement efforts can be made more effective by being more conscious and deliberate about the principles at play.Feedback can turn unstable systems into stable ones, and can turn what seems impossible into reality.There is no need to "prepare" or first establish the right "culture" in order for feedback to work.You don't need management "buy in" either. A group of disciplined individuals who want to improve the way they work and are willing to experiment, record and share their results between themselves is enough to get started. Feedback thrives on discipline and accountability.Observability is a pre-requisite to controllability.My thoughts and writings are inspired from:- My own experiences and results from working on a wide range of software projects within the manufacturing industry- My studies and research in Control Theory- John Hattie's research on visible learning and the power of feedback- Systems thinking.
