I am working with Professor Daniel Rudnick and the Instrument Development Group to better understand the water mass characteristics in the California Current Ecosystem that create productive fisheries. This is relevant to the sustainability of California fisheries and important for better understanding the impacts of climate change.Utilized data science techniques to analyze extensive gridded time series and geospatial data, resulting in a first-author publication in Wiley’s AGU… Show more I am working with Professor Daniel Rudnick and the Instrument Development Group to better understand the water mass characteristics in the California Current Ecosystem that create productive fisheries. This is relevant to the sustainability of California fisheries and important for better understanding the impacts of climate change.Utilized data science techniques to analyze extensive gridded time series and geospatial data, resulting in a first-author publication in Wiley’s AGU Geophysical Research Letters.Collaborated with a team of researchers, engineers, and stakeholders to enhance our understanding ofshifting climate metrics, addressing economic, policy, and biological implications.Demonstrated expertise in advanced programming and statistics using Matlab and Excel encompassingQA/QC, principal component analysis, joint probability density functions, objective mapping, linear andmultivariate modeling, Monte Carlo methods, and spectral analysis.Presented project results to NOAA’s Integrated Ecosystems Assessment Committee.Awarded a Graduate Student Researcher Fellowship.
