Give leadership to the achievement of the council's philosophy, mission, and strategy, and to its annual objectives and goals within one or more districts.Serve as chief operating officer of one or more districts and supervises one or more professionals in the district or in other districts. Accountable for measurable achievements of the other professionals. Serve as manager and operating officer of the district(s) and is responsible for the effective organization, operation, and promotion of the council program within the district(s). Responsible for the achievement of district(s) objectives, including the goals. Work with the chairman and commissioner of the district committee(s) and commissioner staff(s) to fulfill their functions and facilitate the optimum collaboration between the district and the council board.Actively recruit, develop, and maintain effective volunteer management team.Maintain a professional working climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates top-quality volunteers.Assures the district has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission and makes consistent progress.Assure that the flow of funds from the district helps the council to achieve its mission.Serve as the chief district spokesman for the council to assure that the council is properly represented.Provide leadership to other professional staff in the district.
