I have over twenty five years of experience serving as a ministry leader in various roles in the local church including student ministry, associate pastor, and worship leader/keyboardist. I served as Lead Pastor of River of Life Church from August 2000 to January 2017 and led the church in a relocation and in its transition to a mission-focused organization with a coaching leadership paradigm. I have also been elected to serve in various roles on the state level in my denomination (Church of God - Cleveland, TN). This includes serving as chairman of the Arkansas Church of God State Council, and member of the State Youth and Christian Education Board. I also began teaching as an adjunct at Lee University in their online program in August of 2011 and continued until June 2020.In January 2017, I became Executive Director of Shalom Recovery Centers. Shalom is a residential addiction recovery facility. I had the lead in creating the structure for the non-profit corporation, developing strategic partnerships, and opening Shalom's men's program.Since my time at Shalom, I have relocated to Cleveland, TN to take a position at Pentecostal Theological Seminary while completing my PhD. I began as the Director of Instructional where I maintained and developing the online learning programs at PTS, including oversight of the development and maintenance of online courses. I then took the position of Assistant Dean and Media Coordinator for a year before transitioning to my current role as Special Assistant to the President of PTS, a position which has many facets and opportunities for creative strategizing, problem, solving and communication. I am also part of the faculty at PTS, teaching courses on Christian formation and life and ministry of the local church.I hold the B.S. in Mathematics Education from Arkansas Tech University, the MDiv in Practical Theology and Ministry Leadership from Regent University. and the PhD in Theology from Bangor University (Wales, UK). My thesis is entitled "Becoming Like Christ: Toward a Pentecostal Theology of Sanctification." I am a published author of several book/small group studies, including "People of the Spirit: The Story of God and His People," "A Believing People," "A Sanctified People," and "A Shepherded People." I also have published my PhD Thesis in book form. P.S. If you would take a moment to endorse me below I would appreciate it!
