Ben currently serves as the Superintendent at Surrey Christian School (SCS). SCS is known as one of the most diverse independent schools in Greater Vancouver, offering education across two campuses for approximately 1,200 students from Preschool to Grade 12 including out of school care. The Superintendent is the CEO of the school, including all school Principals, senior management in finance, community relations, curriculum development, ICT, property and maintenance and several other direct reports. The Superintendent is responsible for implementing the policies of the board of SCS on a daily basis and for developing and executing the short and long term strategic and business plans created in partnership with SCS’ elected board.As a leader, Ben is an intelligent deep thinker, and a systematic problem solver who carefully addresses the needs of his people and the departments he manages. He is a professional with high integrity and character and works to establish trust with others through his honest and straightforward dealings.Ben is an accomplished educator who is completing his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership (EdD) at Grand Canyon University and has attained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) with Distinction, specializing in Educational Leadership from Charles Sturt University.
