As a member of the World Congress Web Development team, my primary responsibility is maintaining the Corporate website and the conference event pages. This involves creating and updating web pages based on specifications provided by Conference Producers. These functions require an extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, Coldfusion, Javascript, and use of SQL to tie into our database. We also often employ the use of Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Illustrator CS3 to create and edit content. In addition to maintaining the website, my team is tasked with improving accessibility, SEO, and overall visual appeal. An example of this in action is our recent transition of the corporate website onto the Bootstrap framework. In working towards this project we incorporated HTML5 standards, responsive design principles, and JQuery.Another responsibility includes creating HTML email for our various marketing efforts. We create emails from content provided by the marketing team. This task requires an extensive knowledge of which CSS rules and HTML techniques will maintain the email's design integrity in various clients. Content Management is a versatile role covering a broad spectrum of responsibilities. First and foremost I am the primary contact for anywhere from 5-7 clients at one time. This means I setup and configure their Conference Websites based on their requirements and specifications. Additionally I train the client staff to use our system and keep them updated on any new features. It is also my responsibility to act as liaison between the client and development team to improve our system to better suit the client's needs.I'm often required to customize and stylize meeting webpages to utilize a client's branding. This requires a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and our own flavor of PERL modules (Embedded Perl and template toolkit). Our system collects an enormous amount of data so I am also often required to create easy to read Excel or Word reports. This involves intimate knowledge of MySQL queries as well as database structure.In addition to my aforementioned responsibilities, I am required to help provide technical support for end-users as well as client staff. Support and troubleshooting is conducted through our main support phone queue as well as online technical support.

At GSLC, I answer phones, organize files and the church member roster. I also helped organize the Churches Finances using Quickbooks accounting software.
