ATKINS (2007 to date) Team leader in Atkins Dubai office, responsible for managing design teams in the visualization and documentation of a wide range of urban and building designs. The following are some of his most recent projects: • The Address The BLVD Hotel (Emaar), 192,000m² Hotel, Retail and Apartments, Dubai: Lead Architect responsible for concept design of landmark hotel and residences. • Corniche Development (Al Anwa), 250,000m² Hotel, Retail and Apartments, Jeddah: Lead Architect responsible for concept design of landmark hotel and residences. • Apple Store, 2000m² Retail Shop (Emaar): Lead Architect responsible for feasibility study/concept design• Satellite City, 7 million m² mixed use Masterplan, Riyadh: Urban Design Architect responsible for concept and development of 2 km2 site.• Culture City, 6 million m² mixed use Masterplan, Jeddah: Urban Design Architect responsible for development of 3 km2 site. Project also includes design for 2,000 seat performance space and auditorium.• Office Tower (ITC), 200,000m² LEED Platinum office tower development, Bangalore: Lead Architect responsible for concept design and development of Campus Masterplan and Buildings.

• Qassioun Steps, Mixed use development, Damascus: Lead Architect responsible for concept design of landmark development.• Anara Tower, 125 Storey mixed Use Tower, Dubai: Senior Architect responsible for 5 million square foot tower with a budget of 5.5 billion AED. Design included automatic car-parking system, the world’s highest restaurant and the design of an efficient and affordable vertical transport strategy. • East Park Master Plan, Satwa, Dubai: Lead designer on inner-city Dubai master plan forming part of the Jumeirah Garden City project for Meraas. Responsibilities included full visualization of proposed master plan, presentation & coordination with various stakeholders/support consultants through series of international workshops. • Signature Bridge, Jumeirah, Dubai: Design Architect responsible for developing design of 6 lane vehicular bridge. Brief required that the design provide a visual gateway to Jumeirah. Challenges included severe limitations of site and logistics of managing traffic flow during construction. • The Retail Spine, 900m Retail Mall, DIFC, Dubai: Design architect responsible for producing concept design for 40,000m² podium retail development on existing truck tunnel. Challenges included re-interpretation of existing pre-concept design and coordination with as built conditions. • Namaste Tower, 375 bed 5 star hotel, Mumbai: Lead Architect responsible for concept design of landmark hotel. • Pre-Fabricated Hotel (Emaar): Lead Architect responsible for feasibility study/concept design.• Plaza Dubai, 20,000m² Plaza, DIFC/Emirates Towers, Dubai: Lead architect responsible for design of 180m diameter public plaza in the heart of Dubai’s financial district. Design includes free-spanning shading element that revolves to track the angle of the sun and can be utilised to protect performance and audience zones.

• Zayed University Conference Building, Academic City, Dubai: Site architect responsible for coordination of fast track 600 seat auditorium and conference facility scheme set within Zayed University Campus. Coordination of MEP, structural, fit-out and specialist packages. Direct consultations with Dubai Municipality (client), Zayed University (end user) and contractor. • City Centre (Majid al Futtaim) Water Park, Manama, Bahrain: Architectural coordination role responsible for coordinating $65 million fast track water park scheme set within Majid Al Futtaim City Centre commercial development. Coordination of MEP, structural, envelope and rides & pools sub-consultants. Direct consultations with client/contractor/project manager.• Office tower for United Bank Limited, Karachi, Pakistan: Concept design coordinator responsible for production of design report for mixed use tower including power plant, auditorium, fitness complex and grade ‘A’ offices.• Mercedes Showroom, Al Ain, UAE: Design architect responsible for concept design of 10,000m² Mercedes showroom in Al Ain. Integrating mechanical workshop, showroom, branding and business systems requirements.

• Athenopolis - Dubai Land Master Plan Development, Dubai, UAE: Architect assisting in structural re-planning to allow an additional 11 million square feet of GFA and addition of world's largest Ferris wheel. Responsible for spreadsheet model, determining plot guidelines and managing production of visualizations.• The City – Dubai Land Master Plan Development, Dubai, UAE: Urban Planner responsible for revising plot guidelines in the light of client requirements. Responsible for schematic building design and outsourced renderings.• Mountain Area Nature Park, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE: Architect responsible for the thematic design of three key zones in the largest single development in Ras Al Khaimah (4km², 10,000 housing units plus commercial development). Roles included the preparation of an accurate topographical model and managing the production of photo realistic renderings for presentation to the client/ruler of RAK.• Yibin Residential Master Plan, Yibin, China: Architect responsible for producing high density/low impact housing strategy for major economic centre of Yibin city (1km², 15,000 housing units plus commercial development). Responsible for presentations and meetings with the industrial landowner, developer/client, city mayor and local planning council. The high profile project was based on a European medieval model and was intended to stand as a major regeneration benchmark for the region.• Changzi Island, Chin: Urban Planner responsible for the refinement of mixed use master plan for major tourism gateway (4km²) to the Zhoushan archipelago, a major tourist hub for South Eastern China.• Qhin Lake, Changshu, China: Urban Designer responsible for the development of a mixed use master plan leading to client and developer presentation. Key issues included land value/density relationships around the lake edge and the creation of a city scale urban park.
