I’m a third-year International Public Management student at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, currently following the minor Smart Sustainable Cities at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. I expect this minor to give me new knowledge about sustainability in a smart way, which will eventually help me achieve my goal. My interests lie within environmental sustainability, politics, and marketing. My main goal is to achieve a career where I can change or improve the current environmental policies, even if it is just in a small way. I strongly believe that a better climate will eventually benefit everyone. In July 2017 I have acquired my marketing degree with success after doing an internship where I set up 2 Facebook pages for local affiliations. After receiving my degree, I took a gap year in which I worked for a care farm as an assistant accountant as a replacement for paternity leave. Because of this job, I ended up becoming a board member and PR manager for Vrienden van de Gouden Zon where I am in charge of building and maintaining the website. Outside of University and side-jobs, I very much enjoy playing volleyball, explore craft beers, and the outdoors.
