•Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication and engagement plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan. •Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor•Partner with project leads and project manager to deliver expected benefits on various corporate initiatives•Create and implement change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement•Support Tier 1 transformations with comprehensive change, communications and training plans and services.•Provide Change Management Training to sponsors, leaders, project managers and employees.

-Participate in the strategy development within HR Group, ensuring alignment to Corporate strategy and future corporate needs.-Responsible for review and analysis of key HR metrics in support of strategy development, program evaluation and identification of future priorities. -Ensures consistent communications throughout the HR Group of strategic directions, results and major issues.- Lead and participate in the development of HR policy that is comprehensive, competitive, fair and satisfies EDC’s legal obligations, ensures a policy infrastructure that effectively governs relationships with and between employees.

•Partner effectively with the Senior Vice President of the Insurance group and his management team providing pro-active strategic HR advice & guidance in the development, implementation, maintenance, communication (in both Official Languages) of key HR Programs (including Resource Planning, Succession Planning, Total Compensation, Performance Management, Organizational Design and Development). Ensure that the programs are executed in a cost-effective manner.•Identify and address emerging problems (performance, employee relations, managing involuntary terminations from start to finish) as early as possible, involving the appropriate level of leadership as required. In partnership, work towards establishing feasible, appropriate, timely and cost-effective solutions.•In a matrix management environment, oversee the recruitment advisor aligned to my client base.•Responsible for the development and oversight of the effective execution of EDC’s University Recruitment Program. •Responsible for successfully leading EDC through its second Employment Equity audit.

•Establish and maintain a well motivated team with the competencies and capabilities to deliver required services, through the establishment and appraisal of performance objectives, on-going communication, feedback and coaching and through creating a climate in which everyone is encouraged to perform to the best of their abilities. •Anticipate future people needs within the corporation and develop pro-active strategies to ensure EDC’s ability to attract and retain resources. Champion the use of effective recruitment strategies while upholding recruitment standards.Establishing, monitoring and managing recruitment related budgets which include; relocation budget, contingent additional and replacement budgets, student budget and external recruitment budget for a total of approximately 5 million dollars.•Responsible for reporting on relevant recruitment and headcount information.•Responsible for the promotion of employer branding initiatives (Top 100, Top 10, Career Directory) and consistent creation of compelling recruitment advertisements. Also responsible for the delivery of on-campus recruitment programs, student recruitment campaigns and the establishment of effective partnerships with targeted recruitment sources.•Responsible for EDC’s Employment Equity program and ensuring that EDC satisfies all of its obligations with respect to Employment Equity and that HR programming is barrier-free. •Chair for the Finance Working Group with Hire Immigrants Ottawa
