Leading an international team focusing on following tasks:Acquisition of maritime information data, including search for the best data provider and negotiation of contracts.Building and maintaining relationship with Hydrographic Offices and other governmental and non-governmental data provider around the world.Liaison to IHO (International Hydrographic Organization), IMO (International Maritime Organization) and other industry groups.Participating in working groups and contributing to the development of international standards for maritime data, including but not limited to S-57, S-58, S-100 standards from IHO or technical standards from other organizations like IEC or IEEE.Responsible for tools and services for Hydrographic Offices, including training on hydrography, cartography and related areas.Responsible for relationships with state authorities, industry committees, industry partners, academies and universities.Marine Safety Officer.

Responsible to prepare the ground for and create a data services organization for the Jeppesen Marine branch, which was launched early 2005.Establish data services strategy and implementation plan and manage the execution.Manage an international team responsible for all data related activities, like data acquisition and data management.Prepare the integration of the team into the larger organization.

Managing a group of approximately 50 developers, Support people and Business Analyst in both major locations of Jeppesen, Denver Colorado, USA and Neu-Isenburg, Germany. Further being responsible for all of IT coordination for our Production Department. Responsible for coordination and administration of a dedeicated development center for Off-shore development based out of Moscow, Russia with 10 people. Member of the Jeppesen Leadership team and technical coordinator with state or semi-state authorities (e.g. China, Canada, EuroControl)

Senior Manager. Production Migration of the JAD/JAX systems. With that responsible for defining and organizing maintenance structures and procedures for the new system. Organizing and coordinating roll-out which impacted most of he company on an mission

I was additionally assigned to coordinate the data content of the new system called JAD (Jeppesen Aviation Data)/JAX). During that time I took on responsibility (for 20 Software Engineers and for 4 to 8 consultants at Denver as well as at Neu – Isenburg) for all software engineering issues on the “JAD/JAX” project.

I was responsible to architect, develop and implement the infrastructure systems to enable and support the starting relationship of Jeppesen with “Deutsche Lufthansa” (Jeppesen took on responsibility of maintaining “Deutsche Lufthansa Chart Service”). During that time I was reassigned to “Navdata Programs” as leader of the German tasks for a complete re-writing of the two existing navigational databases into a single repository. I was also responsible for the “Data Load” process.

At our Frankfurt office I was responsible for 4 developers. I worked for a corporate project to consolidate the different Revision Control systems.
