We are a group of UX designers from different companies who wants to be a reason to connect UXers under the same roof.UX Folks is an event that will be the common ground of this roof. Our event wants to be a reason to break the walls, learn from each other and have fun. UX Folks is like a user-centered, content-driven Lego. We curate our events with the units you can find at the presentation. If you participate, we will enable it. If you won’t, we will try to understand why you haven’t.Our team includes designers from Fjord, ThoughtWorks, Insider, Invest In Turkey, YapiKredi, and Turkcell, who have organized licensed events such as OpenIDEO Istanbul Chapter, TED Talks, PechaKucha Nights, Maker Faires, SDN Global Jams, and so on. We want to put our experience by combining Design Thinking methodologies to build specialized open events with global impact.

Logicalbond is an Istanbul-based company that produces human-centered design and software solutions. It provides services to its partners to develop its own products and share experiences through training and organizations.I have worked as a user experience designer in different domains. As a result, I have improved myself by inserting methodologies (such as Design Thinking, user research, workshops, education, etc.) to create user-friendly projects.I am responsible for evaluating human-centered user experience designs and services for our clients. Since I am head of the design team of Logicalbond, my responsibilities are; understanding the user insights, analyzing the strategy to make it using design elements, delivering the projects, and evaluating myself & my team about the design environment all the time.

The Interaction Design Association (IxDA) intends to improve the human condition by advancing the discipline of Interaction Design. To do this, we foster a community of people that choose to come together to support this intention. With more than 90,000 community members and over 180 local groups around the world, the IxDA network actively focuses on interaction design issues for the practitioner, no matter their level of experience.IxDA was founded in 2003 and incorporated as a not-for-profit in late 2005. IxDA Istanbul was reactivated in 2018. Our intention as IxDA Istanbul is to gather Interaction Design community by curating and co-creating experience sharing projects.

OpenIDEO Istanbul Chapter is a global NGO which aims to co-create social good with Human Centered Design methodologies. During our meetups, we focused on global challenges with multidisciplinary teams. I have shared my Design Thinking methodologies know how with participants.

Userspots is a company that works on User Research, Interaction Design, and Optimisation. It helps to know your website users, finds the problems they live with your products, create user-friendly interfaces, and improve the user experience. Since I have been here, I have been working on the UI and UX Design process project. Design prototypes, understand UX and UI, create product concepts, and collaborate between developers and customers.I had a chance to be hands-on in both important fields, UI and IxD processes. As a UI designer, I have the responsibility of; - Understanding the product needs in the aesthetic world - Creating mood boards and analyzing the appropriate benchmarks to design unique and special interfaces with the help of user researchers’ persona analytics - Actively participated in design integration through CSS/HTML and worked closely with the developers using various channels and tools (Slack, Invision, Marvel, Principle, etc.) - Trying to go at least one toe further every day to be up-to-date - Met deadlines and delivered on time.Experiencing the UI design world gave me the courage to understand and create wireframes at Userspots as an IxD Designer. And as an IxD, I had the responsibility of; - Working with most of the screen variations and designing responsive websites. - Developing detailed design and rationale from research findings. - Refining personas and producing storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and interaction design specifications. - Planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and conducting user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing.

Hamburg Area, Germany

Bull&Stein is a company which sells indoor/outdoor fruit sculptures. Designing graphic works (flyers, catalogues, brochures etc.) and the whole process for new products are a part of my duties. In addition to that, I have taken part in booth design and stand fitting for two exhibitions which are Maison&Objet-Paris, Maison&Objet-Singapore, Chelsea Flower Show exhibitions. I have also participated in the product sales during the fair and have had contacts with all international clients.

Berlin Area, Germany

In this period, duties involved creating flyer layouts, concept design and design thinking for interior projects including sketching & modelling, designing a lightning using different materials like wicker, metal wire and paper. Being a part of such an international working environment was an honour to experience.

My duties as a designer involved designing indoor/outdoor furniture by considering customers‘ expectations. Following closely the whole process, starting with meeting customers until finishing the montage was the prerequisite for succesful results.

Eskişehir, Türkiye

Working with KYS Chair was a good chance to carry out an oncoming project which contains futuristic stories and innovative steps. Natur is designed for executive directors to use in their office areas for resting. Deep research, working about ergonomic practises, designing a new style for innovative furniture, being a part of prototyping and producing were important topics of my university studies in order to achieve a successful graduation project.

The collaboration between Arcelik AS and Anadolu University was a good example for a project between industry & university. The product (deo-clothes) involves experience design for users to refresh clothes as part of a daily routine. The whole process contains deep research of experience design, developing with mock-ups and prototyping.
