Inspired by the developments in global maritime decarbonization, Regbes is an engineering start-up that developed superior fully automated Shore-to-Ship Power (SSP) connections. Initially focused on electric power, the team is now busy expanding their solutions into alternative fuels such as Methanol, LPG and Hydrogen. I am advising the team in assessing the current market landscape, formulating a comprehensive market entry and growth strategy, and determining target customer segments.

Impacted by the procurement reorganization towards end of 2022, I decided to enjoy some time off, to reflect and refresh, and set the new course.

- Acting as the global procurement lead in business process outsourcing (BPO) initiatives; business partnering Supply Chain (SC), Research & Development (R&D), and Unilever Project Management functions,- Management portfolios including Order-to-Cash, Global Planning, Master Data Management, Logistics, Cross Border Sourcing as well as R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Unilever Project Management BPO,- Supply partners including Capgemini, IBM, Genpact, Infosys and Accenture.Selected Achievements- Re-negotiated Tail Spend Management contract and delivered incremental Cost Saving of 8Mn, Cash Saving of 27Mn, as well as doubling supplier’s fee at risk and clauses around termination for performance,- Co-initiated an Order-to-Cash transformation program in Europe with Service Line Director. End-to-end service delivery efficiencies totalling 8M EUR; delivered through further expansion of hub operations with a clear focus on automation, consolidation, and elimination of tasks,- E-sourcing initiatives with significant value generation received a Procurement Hero recognition for unique approaches in e-tendering from our Chief Procurement Officer in 2018.

- Expatriated to Netherlands to lead the transformation of European Marketing Procurement, as a part of global transformational programme with global consulting partner AT Kearney,- Spend under management €350mio. Portfolios including Events & Activations, Point of Sale Materials (POSM) & Commercial Print, Premiums & Promotional Merchandise, and Field Sales.Selected Achievements- Strategically sourced spend coverage from 22% in 2014 to 70%+ in 2016; Team’s savings delivery performance more than quadrupled from €4mio to €18mio during the term,- Significantly elevated Team’s visibility and stakeholder engagement activity, from reactive peripheral presence with brand managers, to proactively engaging with relevant VP and directors on strategic sourcing initiatives,

- Geographical scope increased to 35 countries in Turkey, Russia, Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Caucasia (NAMETRUB). Spend under management more than tripled to €600mio.- Managing a team of 22, of which 2 are managers based in NAME and in RUB multi-country organizations.Selected Achievements- Almost doubled delivery in cost savings and tripled cash delivery over previous year’s targets in 2013,- One of the strategic sourcing projects received “Best B2B partnership” award by Ethical Corp in UK,- Delivered the best ramp up globally in Purchase Order Compliance in 2013, and positioned among top 3 clusters in Payment On Time metrics,- Positioned NAMETRUB IP as the global leader in delivering against Responsible Sourcing agenda.

- Reporting to the Global Indirects Procurement Director based in Singapore, managing Indirects Procurement (IP) portfolio in Turkey and Israel yielding €170 mio/annum with a team of 10,- Management portfolio including Marketing Services & Materials, IT & Telecom, Outsourcing & Professional Services, Workplace Services & Materials, Energy, Travel & HR Services as well as CAPEX and MRO, - Developing cluster supply strategy in line with Global Category Teams and business objectives, annual target setting, and strategic sourcing project development and execution,- Managing IBM Business Transformation Outsourcing (BTO) program. Collaborating with IBM to develop strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring organizational alignment and stakeholder compliance as well as tracking and reporting to region on program’s overall financial and operational delivery,- Screening the supply market, analyzing and benchmarking supplier capabilities, capacities and cost structure to deliver world-class service at most competitive cost,Selected Achievements- Quadrupled IP BTO savings delivery since assignment in July 2008, from €1.25mio in 2008 to €5.0mio 2010. IP TR team has grown to be the biggest contributor to IP savings bottom line among all UL AAC countries, up from ranking 6th in 2008,- Initiated and implemented category management transformation project in Engineering&Technical spend category across UL factories in Turkey, yielding 8% bottom line savings on €25mio/annum spend. TR has been the 1st country to develop and implement in the region,- Extended management scope to include energy sourcing in 2010. Achieved to supply % 30 of UL electricity from renewable sources (wind and hydro) as well as delivering €1mio annual cost saving.

- Reporting to the HPC (Home and Personal Care) Works Director, managing the Contract Manufacturing Operations at eight different 3rd party sites, for a portfolio comprising 140 SKU’s and yielding €5 mio in annual production spend.- Overseeing mid to long term capability and capacity planning at contract manufacturers, leading investment projects in line with Unilever volume growth plans and innovation projects. Preparing contingency plans for supply disruption scenarios.- Monitoring monthly/weekly/daily production operations to produce at the right time, at the right quantity, at competitive cost structure given Unilever SHEQ requirements are met.- Providing input on manufacturing outsourcing opportunities, 3rd party manufacturing capabilities, and operational cost projections to Supply Chain Leadership Team in Sourcing Strategy Development and Implementation for regional innovation projects.Additional Leadership Roles- AMET (Africa, Middle East and Turkey) HPC Powders Regional Facilitator- AMET HPC Training & Development Pillar Regional Leader- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Training & Development Pillar LeaderSelected Achievements- Delivered 97% innovation ramp-up performance for two regional product launches at 3rd party.- Supply delivery performance of 3rd party manufacturing operations improved from 75% to 94%.- Improved material stock covers from 35 down to 20 days; trade working capital decreased by ~€250k.- Material over consumption from %4 down to %0,7; annual cost avoidance ~€200k in 2007.- As the AMET HPC Regional People Pillar leader, instructed three regional Loss-focused People Skills Development courses (in Gebze, Nigeria and South Africa) hosting more than 20 manufacturing sites in AMET region.
