While studying full time at the University of Maine I worked at the library under a work study. I quickly rose the ranks of the student employees and was quickly trusted by much of the staff. I worked for the circulation department at any of the three desks but was mostly stationed at the Main Reserve Desk, primarily staffed by Fulll Time Staff or highly trusted students. At this desk I was in charge of any equipment rentals, booking study rooms, helping anybody with any info about the library or its departments, and aiding students in finding and checking out books. When not on the desk I was reshelving throughout the library, including being one of the only students trained to shelve the rooms with special sorts of collections, or helping to verify that the books on shelves are in the correct order.

Worked directly under the Land Steward to help preserve and protect the land that has been given to the Land Trust. Worked mostly individually for majority of the summer on remote sites throughout Cape Elizabeth. Planned and ran many volunteer events for invasive plant removals. Worked with local Inn and Library to give educational Nature Walks along the coast. Performed lots of general maintenance of trails, maps, kiosks, and bridges on properties. Helped perform many of the annual check ins and and wrote reports of easement properties while also learning many legal easement terms and information.

Immediately after graduating high school I began seasonal work that summer with the YCC. Our watershed was within multiple towns in CT and for the summer we went around the entire watershed doing various conservation tasks such as trash cleanup, educational displays, invasive removal, and trail maintenance.
