With my Series 7 registration (formerly held with LPL Financial), I provided service to our expanding clientele base and connected with people who were in a position that required financial advice of any kind. One medium I used to connect with new people was through educational classes that my office ran. These classes usually involved first sending out notices or announcements in newsletters to gauge interest levels on certain topics. I then booked a location and speaker to come and speak to the attendees about asset management tools like 401K's or 529 plans. Finally, I began to revitalize the social media presence of my firm. As the Finance and Sales intern for the team, it was my responsibility, among other things, to consolidate the books at the end of each game. Through this, I became very adept managing the excel based income sheet for the team, one which I updated after every game. Additionally, part of my responsibility as an intern was to meet a ticket sales goal. I was able to surpass my sales goal by 110% through a variety of methods such as cold calling and street level marketing. I believe that adaptability and and the ability to do a variety of task with the same level of professionalism is an important key in business. As such, my position as an intern meant that once a week, I would supervise 5 other front office staff during a game.
