About Berklee Morganto
Hi, my name is Berklee, and I am passionate about driving social impact.Throughout my professional life I have tried to find how I can best contribute to social change. I spent the first 5 years of my career in the education sector where I became a Program Coordinator for a tutoring service.★ I improved our outcomes by 70% by implementing systems to track student progress and strategically adjust our approach to meet individual needs.Looking to expand my impact, I became fascinated by the global reach of international companies. I wanted to understand how that influence could be directed into a positive force. I headed to Europe to study and during my education I gained experience as a project manager for a CSR program in France and as a financial consultant for NGOs in Belgium.★ I facilitated the collaboration between Montpellier Business School and Zonta International to support gender equality by promoting a scholarship for women pursuing their business education. After graduation I went to work for the ILO, a UN specialized agency that promotes decent work as a human right. My time there solidified the way I want to make my mark: the social dimension of sustainability. In a sustainable transition, there can be no progress without people. At the ILO I worked on social issues in sectors such as ICT, tourism, and manufacturing. I also developed expertise in the circular economy and human rights in global supply chains.I then secured a role at UNCTAD and used my training in international business to inform my work applying an economic development framework to national country contexts.★ For UNCTAD I designed the first country study analyzing the local impact of the Productive Capacities Index and its 8 interdependent categories: Energy, Human Capital, ICT, Institutions, Natural Capital, Private Sector, Structural Change and Transport.Recently, I have dedicated myself to championing an inclusive future of work and a just transition to a sustainable economy. I write with authority on these topics and so much more. I am a thorough and empathetic leader and I enjoy collaboration and creative problem solving. I speak English, French and Spanish and I understand the challenges and opportunities that exist at the intersection of human rights, sustainability, and international business.
