Milkify offers a service for nursing mothers that enables them to powder their breast milk for longer storage and enhanced convenience. The breast milk powder can be stored for years without refrigeration, and can then be used by mixing with warm purified water, just like powdered formula.Breast milk is the gold standard of nutrition for infants. Breastfed infants develop fewer allergies and get sick less often, both in infancy and early childhood. For mothers that choose to breastfeed for the entire first year, this proves to be difficult, especially for mothers that return to work, or that travel frequently. Freezing the milk is currently the only option for longer storage, however storing breast milk in the freezer results in a loss of nutritional quality over time. Alternatively, freeze-drying your breast milk preserves more of the milk's vital nutrients, immune factors, and probiotics, and allows long-term storage without refrigeration.Our goal is to help more infants receive breast milk until at least 1 year of age by empowering women to stockpile their own breast milk with greater ease and convenience.
